Star gazing

Plant and star sizes from the tiny to the unimaginably vast.
The largest VY Canis Majoris is 2000 times the size of our sun. If placed at the centre of the Solar System, VY Canis Majoris’s surface would extend beyond the orbit of Jupiter. (There is some controversy on how one precisely defines the surface, especially at its edges the star is incredibly insubstantial.)
